Homemade : Ice-Cream!!

Hot weather makes me scream for ice-cream!

Living in this hot climate, I just wish I can hide indoors and eat ice-cream everyday. :)
However, the ice-cream in supermarkets are just too sweet, and they are usually quite expensive!
So, what do we do?
DIY!

~

This is not really an ice-cream recipe per se, but more of like a method on how to make a "blank canvas". You can decorate your "blank canvas" in any way you like, by adding ingredients you think would taste good in ice-creams.

To start off, you need 500 ml of whipping cream!
There is no exact measurement, as I usually just use half a pack (of 1 litre) of whipping cream for one tub of ice-cream.

Whip the whipping cream until soft peaks are formed, or when you drag a spoon across the surface of the whipped cream, it forms a line.

Be careful not to overbeat the whipping cream!

Just watch your cream as you are whipping it, for if you turn your back, the cream would just separate into buttermilk and solid butter.
(yeah, I did that on several occasions)
Then you'll have to restart.

For this tub, I used 2 teaspoons of green tea. First I mixed the green tea in some whipping cream, then I folded in the mixture into the whipped cream.
Ooo... So soft and fluffy!
Also, do not stir for too long. The air bubbles may escape from the whipped cream, and the whipped cream may revert to being whipping cream. :p

Now, pour that delicious goodness into a container, and freeze for at least 1 hour!
No pictures of end product, as I forgot to take pictures before breathing in this creamy, heavenly, frozen dessert!
That's how good it is (was).

This is just sweet enough for me, but you can add Condensed milk if it is not sweet enough.
Also, there are many different flavours you can add to 1 tub of whipped cream, including :

-Instant Coffee [1 sachet]
-Passion Fruits [1 fruit gives a very strong aroma]
-Cocoa powder [ 4 teaspoons]
-Chocolate Chips

So far, I have only tried these flavours, but you can always try and add different flavours to cater to your palette!

How would you know unless you tried?
