What's for lunch? - ICT Asia 2022

To the left of the expo, there were booths exhibiting hawker centre goodies! Where the right side of the exhibition hall was sparse, this area had a throng of people. Follow the crowd to find good food indeed..

Xin Sheng Ngor Hiong Prawn Cracker - A traditional hawker centre dish, their stall diplays several food items, which one can select wanted. Most patrons order fried bee hoon as the main dish, with servings of tau kwa (hard tofu), taiwan sausage, and the signature prawn crackers! They were hot and crispy, but did not have a strong prawn aroma. I felt the chili was overly spicy and sour, but the presentation of fired pieces on on the leaf enhances the dining experience.

VOLK - In the same hawker centre as Xin Sheng, they sell meat and veggies grilled on skewers. The skewers were well-cooked and had a balanced smokiness (yet not generating much visible smoke in the exhibit hall). After wolfing down the 3-layer pork, enoki bacon, and quail egg skewers, I had to resist going back for second servings.

Chicky fun - Did not take a picture due to the crowd, but this concept gives a brand name to the commonly found Hainanese chicken rice. I came across it in the mall before, where one can dine in the comfort of air-conditioning. The chicken breast was succulent and flavourful. However, I felt the chili sauce was not well-balanced with ginger and garlic. Overall, it was a nice dish.
