Petit Steak - Israel-approved cultivated beef

It’s just announced that the sale of cultivated beef has been approved in Israel - the third country to green light this novel technology!    Aleph Farms took 1.5 years to reach this stage - the approval to manufacture and sell cultivated beef in Israel, with specific rules from the health ministry on labelling and marketing.    Petit Steak showcased in April 2023 (Source: Aleph Farms) They have announced that “Petit Steak” would be the first product introduced to diners, and priced similarly to premium conventional beef. The thin-cut steak would be a hybrid meat of: cells from the black Angus cow, Lucy (non-modified, non-immortalized cells)  plant protein matrix of soy & wheat  The cells are grown in an aseptic production environment, using non animal-derived components (no fetal bovine serum) and no antibiotics throughout the cultivation process to the final product; Such as in Eat Just’s cultivated chicken . They are in the process of applying for regulatory approval in Singapor
